4 Mins read

Contemporary researchers have found correlations between low fertility and high day-to-day stress in women. Women who are highly stressed all the time have lower chances for conception.

We can conclude that our bodies are very smart and do not allow giving birth during periods of stress. Stress isn’t just a psychological thing, it affects your whole body. Stress makes your physiology change including your reproductive system.

But don’t worry, stress can be managed through yoga. Yoga has many poses that promote fertility, which can help you get pregnant.

How Does Yoga Help You Get Pregnant?

It’s very important to find a method to reduce your stress. Stress comes with negative habits like smoking and heavy drinking, which also contribute to infertility. When you’re stuck in a loophole of stress and bad habits, your body doesn’t feel like being fertile, nor healthy for that matter. Add to that having a career that puts a lot of pressure on you.

The consequences of not taking good care of your body will escalate the rate of your stress and make you even more infertile in the long run. Your lifestyle can use some minor changes to improve your health and fertility.

That’s where yoga comes! Through the practice of yoga, you build a strong mind-body connection that allows you to mitigate your stress levels. The changes that yoga will bring to your life are quite immense. You’ll have a more flexible body, your mind will not stress a lot, your breathing patterns will improve, and your hormones will be more balanced. All of which impact fertility.

Here are the top 7 yoga Poses that Will Help you Get Pregnant:

Try the Bee Breath Pose

The Bee Breath pose is one of the easiest ones, and it works as a fantastic stress reliever. Once you’re in the Bee Breath position, your body will likely react very positively by reducing hormones that induce stress.

To get into the position, you have to sit down with your legs crossed and your back straight. Place both your index fingers on your ears and press them as you exhale very deeply. Breathe very deeply for 10 reps and make a humming sound as you exhale.

The psychological benefits of the Bee Breath position are immediate.

Try the Legs up The Wall pose

After you make love, you can try this position because it enhances the chances of conception. By keeping the sperm close to your uterus opening, this pose makes it easy for it to reach the matured egg for fertilization.

Lay on your back and raise your legs straight up against the wall. Hold that position for as long as you can. It can be 20 minutes if you like it.

Try the Cobra Pose

The Cobra Pose is tremendously positive for improving fertility. This pose helps you increase the flow of blood to your ovaries and uterus, which promotes hormonal balance, as well as increased production of cervical mucus. The latter makes the journey of the sperm to the egg quite easier.

On your belly, you lie as you raise your upper body with your hands supporting it while keeping your hips on the ground.

Hold the position as long as you want and keep breathing deeply during the whole time you’re in the pose.

Try the Seated Forward Fold Pose

Doing the Seated Forward Fold pose vitalizes your reproductive organs. It’s a good exercise that stretches your hamstrings, hips, and lower back.

Sit with your legs stretched in front of you. After that stretch your arms to hold your feet. Keep your spine erect while you take deep breaths.

Try to stay in that position for one minute or so as you inhale and exhale steadily and deeply.

Let your knees drop to the sides as the soles of your feet touch one another. With your palms facing upward, place your hands beside you and stay like that for 10 minutes. Remember to breathe from your belly and take deep breaths.

Try the Shoulder Stand Pose

The Shoulder Stand pose helps you a great deal to stimulate the thyroid gland, which promotes fertility. When that glad has problems, it also causes infertility problems. This position also helps you relieve stress quite effectively.

Lie on your back and raise your legs upward, supporting them with your arms. Stay in that position for a minute or less depending on how tired you are.
